The 2009 BMW F650GS is reported already available in the U.S. with pricing begin from $8,255. Available in three color options including Flame Red, Iceberg Silver Metallic and Azure Blue Metallic, this bike powered by a retuned version of the F800GS’s water-cooled 798cc four-stroke engine to produce 71 bhp at 7,000 rpm with 55 lb/ft at 4,500 rpm.
The F650GS is built around a steel tube trellis frame with a double-sided swing arm and chain drive. Billed as an entry-level machine, the F650GS has a 32.2-inch seat height and the fuel tank is located under the seat to provide a low center of gravity for easier handling. BMW says the cast aluminum wheels and telescopic forks also help to provide a smooth and precise ride.
