
Honda’s EV-Neo electric scooter concept will hit the Japanese market this year. The peppy two-wheeler is designed for commercial use, and ideal for making deliveries in Japan’s crowded urban streets. The EV-Neo powered by a lithium ion battery, providing a driving range of around 30 km. This short range is offset by a rapid 4-hour full recharge that will get the bike back on the road immediately. The bike will have performance that compare to similar sized bikes that use 50cc engines.

Claimed as the world’s first hybrid motorcycle, the Bangalore’s Eko Vehicles (Eko ET-120) runs on a 70cc gasoline-powered engine combined with a battery system to produce a 120cc powerplant. Priced at a mere $850 in India, this hybrid system can produce a 280 mpg. Regarding emissions, it’s claimed to be reduced three-fold.
